By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by displaying a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
BuildMetrics provides a web-based platform offering structural engineering calculation tools based on Eurocode standards, including EC2 (Concrete), EC3 (Steel), EC5 (Timber), EC7 (Geotechnical), and EN 1991 (Actions). The Service also provides project management, design register, and report generation functionality.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
BuildMetrics is a tool designed to assist engineers in performing structural calculations. It is not a substitute for professional engineering judgement.
We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose, or reliability of any Calculation Output generated by the Service. Calculation results may contain errors arising from, but not limited to: incorrect user inputs, software bugs, rounding errors, limitations of the underlying calculation methods, or changes to applicable standards.
All Calculation Outputs must be independently reviewed and verified by a suitably qualified and experienced engineer before being relied upon, submitted, or used in any professional, commercial, regulatory, or construction context.
BuildMetrics accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, injury, claim, cost, or expense (whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise) arising from or in connection with reliance on any Calculation Output produced by the Service.
The Service is intended for use by, or under the direct supervision of, persons with appropriate engineering qualifications. By using the Service, you confirm that:

The Service, including its software, design, calculation methods, documentation, and all content (excluding user-submitted data), is the proprietary property of BuildMetrics and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any project data, calculation inputs, and outputs you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
During 2026, BuildMetrics is offered free of charge to all registered users as a limited-time promotion. We reserve the right to introduce paid subscription tiers from 2027 onwards. Existing users will be given reasonable advance notice (no less than 30 days) before any paid subscription requirements take effect.
The free access period does not create any contractual entitlement to continued free access beyond its stated duration.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BuildMetrics and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services or websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party service. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and conditions.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@buildmetrics.uk. Upon account deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately and without notice if you breach these Terms, engage in conduct that we reasonably believe to be harmful, or if required to do so by law.
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter or formation.
